About the Doctors at Nirmiti Clinic
Dr Chandrashekhar Chalwade.
Dr Chandrashekhar is consultant cosmetic and Plastic surgeon. His specialized fields of interest in cosmetic surgery include body contouring surgeries, breast reshaping surgeries and non surgical facial rejuvenation techniques. Among Reconstructive surgeries he has worked extensively in diabetic foot salvage, burn and burn sequelae patient, Maxillofacial and hand trauma.
He completed his MBBS (2003),MS (Gen surgery 2008), FCPS (surgery 2008) and MCh (Plastic surgery 2011) from sion hospital which is considered premium institute for these surgical specialities. After completing his MCh he worked with few luminaries in cosmetic surgery to gain expertise in body contouring surgeries, breast reshaping surgeries and hair restoration techniques. He continued his pursuits in Reconstructive surgery as Assistant Professor in Nair and Kasturba Hospital.
He is part of many fora which formulates guidelines and protocols over wounds, Burn and Diabetic foot. He is called upon as faculty or resource person to different CMEs, conferences and summits. He has also been part of few schools’ and ngos’ social initiatives and programs. He has published original research articles and case reports in various journals.
He is the plastic surgeon with care, compassion, knowledge and expertise who will do everything that is possible to take care of your concern.
Dr Minal Chalwade
(MBBS, DGO, DFP, FICOG)
Dr Minal Chalwade is Consultant Obstetrician, Gynecologist who has keen interest in infertility management.
She passed her MBBS in 2003 from sion hospital and did specialization(DGO) in obstetrics and Gynecology from prestigious institutes like Wadia and KEM hospital. She also completed a course in family planning (DFP).
She moved on to pursue her interest in infertility management by completing fellowship (FICOG) under Dr Mandakini Parihar at her ivf centre in Chembur. She keeps herself updated herself by attending CMEs and conferences.
She established her own practice in 2008 in pratiksha nagar and Sion. She also visits to a charity hospital. She gets called upon by schools and NGOs for social informative programs. She believes firmly in informed evidence based management for her patients.
The word ‘Nirmiti’ (निर्मीती) from Sanskrit (संस्कृत) means creation.
Plastic surgical procedures often involve Reconstructive surgeries while obstetrics and Infertility management actually help couples create (Nirman – निर्माण) their child.
